Voting is open NOW!
Step 1: Receive your ballot in the mail
You should get your ballot in the mail if your voter enrolment details are up to date. Papers will be sent out to you between the 9th and 22nd of September.
If you don’t receive your ballot papers by the 22nd of September you’ll need to vote in person at a Special Voting Location.
Step 2: Rank Rebecca #1
For the Wellington City Council Election we’ll be voting with Single Transferrable Vote. That means if you want to elect Rebecca, you’ll need to put a 1 in the box next to her name! After that you can number as many people as you like, in your order of preference.
Rebecca also supports Yadana Saw and Henry Peach for Greater Wellington Regional Council. Rank them #1 and #2!
Step 3: Vote to KEEP the Māori Ward
Māori wards give tangata whenua a guaranteed seat at the table in local government. A voice in decisions that impact their whenua, whānau and their future. For more information about our Māori Wards you can read about them here.
Tick the boxes to keep the Māori Wards for Wellington City Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council.
Step 4: Send it back or drop it off
You can either send your ballot back in the post by the 7th of October or drop if in an orange bin around the city. You can find your nearest voting bin here.
If you’re voting in person at the Library you can drop your ballot papers off there.
